Advantages

  • Does not suppress natural testosterone production, thus maintaining fertility and preventing testicular atrophy, which is crucial for those concerned about long-term reproductive health.
  • Mimics the body’s natural pulsatile release, reducing the likelihood of conversion to DHT (dihydrotestosterone) or estrogen.

Disadvantages

  • Requires 2 administrations per day.

Advantages

  • Common and requires less frequent administration.

Disadvantages

  • Suppresses natural testosterone production, affecting fertility.
  • Dose adjustment is needed to minimize side effects, including conversion to DHT and estrogen.

Advantages

  • Easy to apply with daily use.

Disadvantages

  • Risk of transferring testosterone to others upon physical contact.

Are lab tests required to receive my TRT delivery?

Yes, lab tests are required, and we cover the cost. To start your treatment, you will receive a lab order and will need to visit a local Quest Diagnostics location to have your blood drawn.

How long do lab tests take?

We partner with Quest Diagnostics, and they typically take between 5 to 7 days to complete and deliver the results.

Do you offer at-home testing kits for labs?

We do not offer at-home dry blood testing kits due to their limitations compared to lab tests. Here are some reasons for this decision:

  • Accuracy: Lab tests are generally more accurate because they are conducted under controlled conditions with advanced equipment.
  • Comprehensive Results: Lab tests can analyze a broader range of biomarkers, providing more comprehensive results.
  • Sample Quality: Blood samples collected at home are more susceptible to contamination or degradation, which can compromise the accuracy of the results.
  • Cost: At-home kits can often be more expensive in the long run when considering the need for accuracy and comprehensive diagnostics
Are lab tests included in the TRT treatment package?

Yes, lab tests are included in the TRT treatment package.

What is the difference between nasal gel, testosterone injections, and regular cream?

The nasal testosterone gel offers pulsatile delivery, meaning it mimics the body’s natural rhythm of hormone release and does not suppress natural testosterone production. Here are the key differences:

  • Nasal Gel: Provides a pulsatile delivery, does not suppress natural testosterone production, and needs to be applied multiple times a day. It is convenient for those who prefer a non-invasive method.
  • Testosterone Injections: Deliver testosterone directly into the muscle, usually on a 2 times per-week basis. This method ensures a consistent level of testosterone in the bloodstream but involves the use of needles and requires proper administration technique.
  • Regular Cream: Applied topically to the skin, typically daily. Creams are easy to use but can result in variable absorption rates and the risk of transferring the hormone to others through skin contact.

Your doctor can help you choose the right plan and personalize your treatment. Additionally, you will have the option to switch between treatment plans if needed.

Can I switch my treatment plan later?

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) and Enclomiphene are both treatments for low testosterone, but they work in different ways:

  • TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy): Involves the direct administration of testosterone through injections, nasal gel, cream, or other methods.
  • Enclomiphene: Is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that stimulates the body’s own production of testosterone. It works by blocking estrogen receptors in the brain, which increases the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). This increase in LH and FSH boosts natural testosterone production. However, Enclomiphene is effective only when LH levels are low, as it relies on the body’s feedback mechanisms to stimulate hormone production. It’s important to note that if your LH levels are already normal, Enclomiphene won’t be an effective treatment.

Each treatment has its own advantages and limitations, and your healthcare provider can help determine the best option for your individual needs.

What if I do not qualify for the treatment?

If you do not qualify for the treatment, we will issue a refund. However, a $77 fee will be retained to cover the cost of processing your lab tests.
