treatment work?
The first month you might notice some initial shedding, but this is only temporary. While everyone responds differently, most patients will see visible improvements by week 24. We provide continuous support and adjust your formula if needed.
Hair loss should stop completely, and some patients see signs of regrowth. Improved hair thickness and hair fullness should be visible during this time. If, for some reason, you need to adjust your treatment, we are here to help.
As the medications continue to work, malnourished hairs will be replaced by thicker, healthier hairs which leads to gradual improvement in hair density over time.

Recent studies have shown that using a 0.03% concentration of topical Finasteride was just as effective in suppressing scalp DHT to prevent hair loss while minimizing systemic DHT suppression. When using 0.25%, topical finasteride systemic DHT is suppressed at around 76%, which in turn leads to many unwanted side effects such as:
decreased sex drive
trouble getting or keeping an erection
ejaculation disorder
increase in breast size and tenderness
swelling of your lips, tongue, throat, or face
depression
lumps or pain in your breasts
Topical Finasteride at 0.03% suppresses systemic DHT only at around 35-40%, which is much safer while delivering the same hair loss prevention.
Spironolactone is a medication that has been used for almost 60 years. It is used to treat blood pressure issues in pill form. The drug also has antiandrogenic properties. In other words, it inhibits the activity of the male hormones (androgens). It does this by blocking the Androgen Receptors (AR).
Because of these, it makes it a great hair loss prevention drug topically. Topical application means the drug will block the AR only in the scalp and hair follicles. In recent studies, topical spironolactone showed excellent results when combined with minoxidil. Zeuss formula combines spironolactone with a microdose of Finasteride, minoxidil, Retinoic Acid, and progesterone for synergistic effects to provide best topical hair loss treatment.
Minoxidil has to be absorbed by the scalp in order to be effective. Minoxidil itself cannot penetrate the scalp . That is why delivery vehicles such as propylene glycol (PG) or glycerin or dimethyl isosorbide (DMI) is used in all minoxidil products. The addition of retinoic acid can further help minoxidil penetrate the skin and reach hair follicles and thus enhance the effectiveness of minoxidil. Zeuss formula uses a mix of minoxidil retinoic acid for best results.
Progesterone is a natural inhibitor of 5AR (14), which is an enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT. Without the presence of Progesterone (or not enough), 5AR can perform its converting activities. Unfortunately, this means more DHT is produced, triggering further hair thinning and loss in those with androgenic alopecia. While Progesterone would not be sufficient as a standalone therapy, it works great as an addition to other powerful ingredients in Zeuss formula, adding a synergistic effect.
Zeuss only offers compounded medications for hair loss. A compounded medication is a drug that is specifically mixed and prepared for you based on a prescription from your doctor. Like baking a cake, creating compound medications involves mixing one or more active ingredients, each at a specified amount. Therefore you are getting unique formula not available anywhere else to treat hair loss.
